I am a Danish amateur photographer living just outside Copenhagen. I have always had a passion for photography, but I have only been serious about it in recent years. I have spent a lot of time searching the internet for technical details about photography and even more time looking at great photographer’s work to find out what makes a photo stand out and to get inspiration.
Landscape photography is my favorite. The magnificence of landscapes have always been captivating me. Open scenes, where the Earth meets the sky on the horizon, are places where I prefer to be, searching for subjects to photograph. During my recent trip to New Zealand I had the time of my life and I can recommend this place to anyone who is passionate about landscape photography – well, anyone really.
Another interest of mine is cycling and tennis and combining these sports (and many other sports for that matter) and photography is another way I like to spend my time – trying to capture the key moment or the decisive moment as famous photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson calls it: “There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative”.
